Hair. Hair. And More Hair.

It's been a few days since we've updated our blog.  We've been working our fingers to the bone with our new sofa everyday, in some capacity, since Saturday.  The smell of smoke and pets is finally gone.  Now, the biggest task is getting rid of all the very fine pet hair.  Tonight, we removed the hair from three of the four cushions.  The last cushion is the worst.  Not looking forward to it.  I will say that the cushions look amazing.  It's worth the work; however, we are tired of hair!

Hang with us.  We're getting close and will post pics in a few days.

  1. but hello, thank you, I want to know more about your home ... I also recovered a sofa and two armchairs 50 years, I'm pulling out for belittling, but it is a job very long ....

  2. Hello Debora,

Our home was built in 1954. It is a three bedroom, one and a half bath ranch home with a two car garage. We saw this sofa posted on craigslist.org and didn't think twice about buying it. It took a lot of work, about 30 hours, to clean (vacuum, steam clean, and use tweezers to pull out hair). Also, we had to put new foam in the cushions. However, it was worth the work! It is truly the centerpiece of our living room. I would encourage you to continue working on your sofa and armchairs. The satisfaction you receive will be well worth it! We will be posting more pictures. We've gotten a little busy. Sorry we haven't posted anything new lately. Ciao!
